It has been many years since the first thoughts regarding a wind farm in this area were aired, and now we’re happy to be able to get going!

The Egersund wind power plant is located in the Åseheia and Kolldalsheia areas of the municipality of Eigersund, about 5-8 kilometres east of the town of Egersund. The entire project will be completed by the end of 2017. The Egersund wind power plant consists of 33 windmills with 3.4MW turbines, and will have an installed output of 112.2MW.

Annual output will be approximately 395GWh, which corresponds to the annual consumption of approximately 20,000 households. The Egersund wind power plant will cost around NOK 1.2 billion.
