We have strengthened our team, and hired former KPMG partner Kai Michaelsen as Finance Director of Norsk Vind Energi AS.
Mr. Michaelsen is a German citizen who has been a resident of Norway since 1999. He studied economics, auditing and accounting at university in Germany and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in both the US and Norway.
Since 1992, Mr. Michaelsen has worked for KPMG, the international auditing firm, first in Hamburg, and then in New York and Oslo, and since 2006 in Stavanger. He has been managing partner for companies and branches of international and domestic corporate groups, particularly in the oil and gas service industry and project related activities.

The governement have suggested increased taxes for the industry by implementation of a resource rent tax on wind power, an increased production fee and an extraordinary tax on the energy sold for a price that exceeds 70 øre per kWh.t, and a doubling of the production fee.
